Can I ask about a hair appointment at Christmas?

The festive season is here, you have parties, dinners and functions booked in for Christmas but not your hair. So a question you might think is “Is it too late to ask about a hair appointment?” My honest answer to that is no. It is always worth asking about a hair appointment because salons start booking clients in for Christmas months in advance. But as is life things change and clients can’t any longer attend the appointment. This can be due to shedule changes or illness so at some points stylists can end up with gaps that they are keen to fill!

Plus if you don’t ask the salon doesn’t know your wanting an appointment, many offer a cancellation list so can contact you if a slot comes available. Follow your salon on social media. Many will put any cancellations on their stories to try and fill any last minute gaps.

Other reasons to ask is that salons might have new stylists working that haven’t built up their clientele yet so will have lots of availability they will definitely be keen to fill up.

While Christmas is a busy time in the salon, stylists will try to accommodate everyone so even if you haven’t pre booked you might just snag the perfect slot for your festive pampering!

Even if you’re asking a salon you haven’t visited before they still want to accommodate you with a warm welcome. If you had a great experience with them you’ll want to visit them again and that’s what all hair stylists want!

A good salon will want to treat every client like family. Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, they’ll want to make the occasion special so many won’t want to overbook themselves so they can give you and all clients the time to fit clients in and still give a great service, they’ll want to make sure you leave feeling confident, refreshed, and ready to take on the season.

So my advice is if you’re wanting a hair appointment this Christmas just ask, the worst answer you can get is no but more than likely you’ll be given some options.
